How platform fees work on Fika

Fika charges a platform fee on each successful subscription payment. The fee is deducted automatically before funds reach your Stripe account.

The percentage depends on how many paid subscribers your publication has. The more paid subscribers you have, the lower the percentage will be.

100–499

8%

500+

7%

How it works:

  • The fee is calculated on the subscriber’s payment amount

  • It automatically decreases as your paid audience grows

  • Standard Stripe processing fees also apply (these are set by Stripe, not Fika)

You can always see your:

  • Current fee level

  • Total paid subscriber count

  • Progress toward the next pricing threshold

Go to Publication → Monetization and check the Platform Fees section, where a progress bar shows how close you are to the next lower fee tier.

Fika sends a monthly invoice summarizing the platform fees collected during that billing period.
